Something wrong with the dates

I think the dates are fixed now.

I have also adjusted the date / time format so that it will show the local time rather than the time that the server stores away. We have had 60 or so emails, over the past months asking why these times do not make sense.

It is rather tricky, but I think it is important. It seems to add value to show that the last post was oly a few minutes ago etc.

We had to increase the database-stored time by 5 hours because the sever is in Canada somewhere (I think!) and then increase it further in relation to the timezone offset that each member specified upon joining.

Heres the corker - in addition to that, if the current date is between a specific date in April and August we must reduce the time by an hour, due to the GMT moving forward for Daylight Saving Time.

I think we will need to tweak the time adjustments in accordance with any comments we get. We have put a hyperlink next to the flag that shows the last visit to the forum - asking for the user to email us, if they find that the date / time is not correct.

We will see how we go.

The Microsoft Project Discussion Forum appears to have the same problem with the dates. The latest messages / replies are not sorting/displaying at the top.
