I would welcome David as a fellow moderator. Perhaps we could suggest he lead a project to investigate and spec the kind of file repository / service he is advocating ?
We have previously had members "volunteer" to do something that they think the site needs, but then little has been acheived when the work needs to be done. David appears to have both capacity and commitment - it may work out well.

I have not seen very many of his posts and I am unable to comment on his suitability.
I do think we need more Moderators as I know I am unable to visit every day and there are many topics I an not able to comment on.
I would rely on other peoples suggestions on his suitability.
