Ron I agree with you.

One of the problems is that Moderators do not know of these postings unless we trawl through all the postings. There are a couple of other options:

1. An autodelete their postings so their postings are always deleted say 30mins after they are posted.

2. Moderators are sent emails of postings by specific people so they may be attended to quicker by Moderators.

I have an idea that may moderate the problem and still meet PP’s needs. Why not deny ’trouble people’ the privilege of getting an automated email notices that a new message has been posted in a forum of interest? All PP needs to do is to add a routine that checks against a ‘do not contact’ list before sending off any of the notices.

This will possibly cut down on the ‘tornado effect’ of sling and counter-slinging of insults. PP doesn’t even need to announce this, just do it. If and when someone complains, all PP has to do is to say that they are looking into it.

I agree with Paul. I haven’t been as active lately as work and family are demanding more of my time, so I thank you for your efforts Ron.

Oscar trashed a forun in Project Management Issues. He slams someone and then just keeps sending in the same message 10’s of times. It took me 5 minutes to delete all of his slams. I then locked the forun to keep Oscar out.

DOES ANYONE HERE CARE ABOUT THIS OR AM I THE ONLY ONE? If it is OK for people to deride others and to post hundereds of spurious messages - then just tell me and I will spend my time on more productive persuits.

Bizarre,

I know Clive Randall personally here in Hong Kong - it doesn’t sound like him. Are we sure via IP tracking ?

Bill

Why are you doing the planning?

You dont seem to be a planer!

Actually have you the ability to read a drawing?

Have you ever woorked on site?

If the answer to any of the above is yes i am suprised

However my advice if you want to plan talk to your subbies see what they want talk to the site agent pm but be prepared for a disater.

There might also be another reasons for the multiple postings. I just made a posting by clicking on the submit button. I waited and nothing happened, so I guessed that I must have missed the button or that the system did not ’hear’ me. After waiting a couple of seconds with nothing happening, I clicked the Submit button a second time.

Result? I posted the same message twice.

PP: You need to immediately un-enable the Post Now button before proceeding any further with the posting. Then this scenario will not occur.
