Carmen,

As you said you are controlling LSTK EPC, you no need to monitor the progress on MH instead I suggest you to use inch-Dia for fit and inch-meter for erection and same for hydrotesting.

Hi Andrew

When you mention meters by sections,it looks like easy for straight sections, but how do I do with spools ? Should I include them or not?.

Thanks, Carmen

Hi Jaco

My E-mail is [email protected] and I would like the book that you mentioned. I am controlling an EPC lump sum contract and the contractor is using man-hours for weighting the lines by AREA and quantity estimates for each progress milestone.

Lot of Thanks

Hi carmen

We’re using meters as unit of measure for hydraulic testing of pipeline. Testing is performed by sections (i.e. from one block valve to another). Usually it takes some time to fill the pipeline by water and to gain the testing pressure (depending of the length of the section and DN) plus 24 hours for retention.

When testing particular assembly unit (ball valve for instance) the right unit of measure is psc.

Hope it’ll help.

Best regards,

Andrew
