1. All projects has been stored in pmdb$primavera database engine. However, it depends on what database you are currently using. You will know this whenever you log in to Project Management Module, the default is PMDB Database.
2. Layouts & Filters, every project you had created has its own layouts & filters. You can find this in View --> Layout --> Open. From there, you are able to import/export the required layout and save it to your local drive or in other computer. Every layout has its own corresponding filter (if any).
If you want to backup your database, go to Start --> Programs --> Microsoft SQL Server 2005 --> SQL Server Management Studio Express. Look for pmdb$primavera, if this your current database where you use to save your projects.
