Hi,
there is a method that I present it here.
do following steps
1)at first rename your activity Ids from 1 to ....
2)then go to global change and clik add
3)if "ACT" "GT" "0" then
"ACT" "EQ" "WBS" "&" "ACT"
then click Run
Thats it all
in case of that you have to change a large number of activity ids you can import your file to excel then change it and again import it to p3. in this case the whole process takes about 3 minutes

Hi Rick,
If you are talking about the Activity ID of the Activity Name then Go to Project Detail --> Defaults Tab --> Auto-numbering Defaults:
Activity ID Prefix = FO000 up to 20 Alpha-Numerical
Activity ID Suffix = must be between 0 to 999999
However, you cannot input 0 first then followed by 1, instead 1 followed by 0
Increment = 1, 2, 3......10 depending on your requirements
Do not forget to mark the checkbox next to "Increment Activity ID based on selected activity.

Hi Ben,
You are talking about the SUBP (Sub-Project) from Activity Codes under Activity ID. Well, You must create by your own. First you have to create a Project group. You can also do this without creating project group. Let say Foundation, your prefix Act ID FO & then followed by 0010. So your Act ID became FO0010.
If you will go to Activity Codes --> Activity ID --> Codes, "Name" you can rename, "Lenght" depend on you 2,3,4 whatever, when done tick refresh, all Activity ID with Prefix FO will be under the Foundation. Under Value, you can find out FO will come out automatically then you can name under Description as Foundation.
Now, you can use this Codes to a certain level and assign this to your activities. Try this exercise..

Thank you Albert for answering me, but what I need is to put for example two letters at the starting of the activity id according to certain logic for example WBS, Department, Responsibility...
In activity code theres some settings about activity id but I dont understand their utility.

Hi Ben,
For P3 Programme its always requiring your basis for activity ID, So meaning you need to encode the first activity ID then press arrow down. if you want to change the setting go to tools, option, activity inserting then change the default number.
