Dear Ronald Winter
Thanks for youe advise
with best regrds
If you are using P3, for checking only one schedule (the Baseline Schedule) there is only one software; SA Pro.
For checking two P3 schedules to see the difference, there are three software packages,
SA Pro
Claim Digger (now surprisingly sold by Primavera in completion with their other ‘approved’ partners.)
Primaplan Investigator
If you are using P3e or P3e/c, then the choices is Claim Digger (built-in with the Version 4.0 but cannot be used by Interbase Users) and Schedule Analyzer for the Enterprise.
Dear all replied planner, I would like to enquiry if any software or programme to check the diferrent instead of export to Ms excel to compare manually?
The most painful part is preparation of the program for the first time. Once it has been agreed by all the parties you should obtain the soft copy.
As I understand your primary concern is Manipulation by the Contractor. Well! I will breakdown your concerns into following areas:
Activity Data : Especially Original duration
Lags Data : Pred, Succ connections, type of lag, duration
Progress Data : Activity, Progress %, Rem Durn etc.
Without resorting to any fancy software export the data in similar way all the time to excel.
Arrange the columns in similar way such as sorted on Pred, Succ
Bring the update data in similar way and post it in the same sheet
subtract the doubtful columns to find the change
If there is any modification you will be able to see it in no time at all
Dear mktse,
Can you kindly explain in detail how to export P3 data into database, define the checking rules into steps and validate the data? Million thanks to you.
Claim Digger only spot the difference between projects. If you want to check any manipulation for progress, refer to export P3 data into database. Define your checking rules into steps and validate the data.
Did You try with Dig claimer?
It look like is working with P3 but has some problems with P3e.
If You go in Winter web page has also produced some schedule analyzer (also working with P3e) that may help you.
