Thnx marc and charles...
from Primavera:
This error starts to occur if you have directories that are as long as 28 characters. At that point, it is a warning message and may occasionally reappear. It is strongly suggested that you change the path of your directory. This can also occur when one folder in your path is longer than 8 characters. Shortening that one folder name will also remove the error message.
For example: C:\P3WIN\PROJECTS\DOCUMENTS
Here, shortening the folder name from DOCUMENTS to DOCUMENT will correct the problem.
P3 determines valid directories based on the number of characters in the directory, including the drive letter, the colon and backslashes. It is not determined by the number of directory levels. The maximum number characters for PROGLOC, WORKLOC, and PROJ is 64. The maximum for USERLOC is 54 characters. Change the PROJ directory to one closer to the root directory. To change the PROJ location, edit the P3.INI file that is located in the WINDOWS or WINNT directory.
If the project is out on a network, map the Network Drive closer to the project directory.
Pinan Toot,
the level of your file location is too deep or the path of your fle is too long.
Transfer the file location C:\filename
Are your sure your name is Pinan Toot
not Kinan Toot
Strange name, i think this is an alias
