Column width - how to edit

Hi Steve,

In an hourly project, I can’t see how the display of DATE and TIME would increase the width of your column. P3 default settings will just display the TIME below the DATE. This however will increase the row height.

If however you want a more narrow column, you can change your data font,..say from arial 8 to arial 6, then the column width will automatically adjust, based on the character width of your selected font and size.

To do this, just double click on the column heading and on the pop up menu, select the "DATA FONT", then click the arrow above and select a smaller font size. You can also customize the title, alignment and width of your column on this menu.

Hope this helps..

Cheers,

Gerry

Thanks guys

I have already tried these areas of formating the layout but I have found in some of the old layouts in my system the columns are best fit like the option you have in Excel.

Any other ideas?

Hello Steve,

Press F11 and change the column width to the reqd figure.

Else go to the column Total area and take your mouse pointer to the line inbetween any two column , when the pointer changes to a "H", remove the column divider to any location that you feel is required.

Steve

welcome to the wonderful world of formatting P3 views!

I have found the same problem and have not found a full solution. What does help (a little) is to change the dates format to make the text narrower yet still readable, thus allowing you to narrow the column (a bit).

That’s as far as I ever go though...
