COPY SUB PROJECT?

I do get that with P3 all the time; error one time, then seemingly the exact same thing works an hour later. Worse is when it happens the other way around :D



Of course I guess something must be different, but I can rarely work out what so just shrug and curse Pv lightly.

i did it. however it is funny, i was trying to do the same thing last night, but it was giving an ID error.



still it worked right this time.

OK, I’ve not tried to do specifically what you are asking, but it shuold work thus;



click Tools>copy...



in this dialog you select the project your copying from, what part of the project to copy (in your case a subproject) and where to copy it to (in your case the same project you’re copying from) and how to designate it.



2 important points



The project must be closed (it will error if not)

Acitvity IDs cannot overlap. This is the bit I’m unsure of. P3 should automatically change the first 2 charcters in your ACT ID to the new subproject designation, but I’m not completely sure that this will work. Tou’ll have to test it.



Make sure you back up your current plan before you test anything, otherwise you risk watching your plan eat itself infront of your weeping eyes.
