H i Burley,
Yup ideally that should thing be done to control cost and track the project. But if your in an environment that with less people to do those job then better track your project by rule of thumb".

Hi Uly,
Will you please elaborate why its not good using CSI Codes? My point is your Activity ID can consist of letters & CSI Codes combined.
Just imagine tracking a suppliers invoice to an activity ID (if really installed), then to a material submittal log if approved (using also the same CSI Code), then to an accountings ledger if paid (again with the same CSI Code). Isnt it easy to trace a cost in many directions to confirm its status?
Please connect again....
Cheers,
Burley
These codes were originated in Canada, In my personal opinion use codes that suit to your project requirements, This CSI codes will only lead you to hell.
Hi Burley,
Im also using CSI Codes sometimes or as a refference material when im planning projects that is new and not the usual project that im used to. I also used account codes when putting cost estimates . The rest im not using since i think it will just complicate things since its accounting already accounting.
Anywy just count me in...
Cheers,
Ronald
