If using P3, you have to save the layout a different way than in P5 to make it available in other schedules. I believe this is a menu item in P3 that exports a file which makes the layout viewable in another project. In P5, its all in one database; P3 all about the group of files for each project. Sorry I cant be more specific. Somebody else might know the exact procedure.
Steve,
You had replied to my query about layouts and I was wondering if you could tell me how to make it globally available or available to all? I have lloked at what Nathaniel suggested below and the access for all the schedules is set to read-write-Everyone.
Is ther anything else I need to change?
Steve seems to think you are using another version of Primavera - only P5 has got such feature as making layouts available globally etc. It is not a feature in P3 3.1.
Hi Swapna
go to file open - select project then go to access button,
there you can change the access to read write - everyone
I do not see any such option in the layout menu, how do I make this change?
When saving the layout, make sure you make it is global or available to all.
Hope this helps.
I am using a stand alone version of P3 but I am accessing the schedules from the server
Are you working from a central server or stand alone version
