Thanks a lot Mr. Bhuvanesh
Dear Sundaram.,
May be the following will help.
***********************
IN P3 do the following:
***********************
Step 1) Export -> Export Data File - Lotus - Resource Data
Step 2) Contents -> Select Activity ID, Resource , Budgetted quantity
Step 3) Format -> Sort by Activity ID
Step 4) Click RUN & OK
***********************
Now Open X-L :
***********************
Step1) Open the X-L file (By default it will be in P3OUT Directory)
Step2) If you didn’t assigned any resources for an Avtivity => Type the Resource and Budgetted qty in the respective fields in X-L.
Step3) To add MULTIPLE resources, copy & paste the Activity ID and do the step 2 above.
Step 4) Save (Note to keep the existing format, don’t convert to X-L)
***********************
Once again IN P3 do the following :
***********************
Step 1) Import -> Import This Period Resource and Cost Data
Step 2) check the path
Step 3) Click Run & OK
Regards.,
Yes agree with ANIL, b coz in planning you need to analyze dont 100% rely on computer output / results. Doing the work by hearth is the best you can do for everything.
Dear Sundram
Nothing can be achieved in single stroke .Abt resource loading go through extensive discussion held under topic resource laoding
Dear bhuvanesh,
can you please give me a little bit guide to do import/export from excel since i need to feed various resources to some of the activities in my sch. by using a single stroke.
Thanks
The core design of P3 is no change from DOS to Window version, ie no significant change from v1.0 to 3.1, only new features added.
If you want something excited, I was told on P3e/c. I mayself not prove it yet.
Dear,
One of the advantage of GUI compared to DOS is the export/import function. If you are conversant with export import function, you can play in excel the reports in whatever fashion you need.
P3 I feel is Embedded with this feature. Hence make use of it.
