You need to define a good WBS.

Click on TOOL

Then WBS

Then STRUCTURE

say a code like AXYZ...BXYZ and so on. Where X, Y and Z could be digits. You can have different lengths for differrent levels. "A" would be your Level 1, X is Level 2 and so on.

Now its time to write down your activities with their WBS codes.

First, you need to add a column for WBS as P3 does not have this coloumn in default layout.

To add WBS coloumn, go to FORMAT then COLOUMN and add WBS coloum by clicking the + sign. Click OK when done.

Now you type activities with their WBSs. After you Finish listing down the activities, click on FORMAT...ORGANISE...Select WBS and click ORGANISE NOW and you will have your intended results.

Work with WBS. It is very simple and structured.



Data/WBS



Define a structure. You just need to do it once. For your purpose a three level structure will work. Define any symbol like - to appear in between the levels.



Once you have the structure, just create the WBS codes and give the name you want.



Once WBS dictionary has been defined, click "Organize" (Format/Oganize) and choose Organize by Work Breakdown.

Dear Zameer this can be best done with WBS , but if u do with activity codes than u have to define all this activities to Engine(DATA/ACTIVITY CODES/PHASE ADD ENGINE ) and then define another activity code , CLICK THE PLUS BUTTON AND ADD SAY ABCD, WHICH WILL HAVE VALUES A,B,C,D AND E , NOW ASSIGN THIS A,B,C,D AND E TO RESPECTIVE ACTIVITIES , THEN GO TO -FORMAT/ORGANIZE - CLICK ACTIVITY DATA ITEM -IN GROUP BY PUT
