Excellent Suggestion, it works well.
To restore a P3 *.prx file one does not need P3, you just need to change the extension to *.exe in explorer and double click on it and it will self extract.

Hi Alex,
I interpreted the question wrongly, sorry for that. It is not possible to convert PRX file to MPX without restoring it first in P3.
Cheers!!!

Is it really possible to convert a PRX file with PRMCONV.exe?
Mine is only reading the xxxxxxxx.P3 files
Alexandre
you dont need to have P3, you can look for PRMCONV.exe file of 1.9mb size. that is sufficient to convert your PRX file to compatible with MSP.

PRX file is a compressed backup file generated by Primavera P3; as far as I know, the only way to open it and restore the P3 files is to use the restore command in P3.
Then you will convert the P3 schedule by using the P3 to MPX converter within P3
