M25 Road Widening J27 to J30 – Section Engineer

M25 DBFO bespoke contract for the motorway widening between junctions 27 to 30.

Ben successfully managed the installation of drainage, attenuation pipes, hydrodynamic separators, petrol interceptors, central reserve earthworks, fencing and sheet piling at several locations over several km of active motorway.

M25 Section 2 Managed Motorway J5 to J7 – Sub Agent

SMART motorway scheme for the Highways Agency involving 16km hard shoulder upgrade in conjunction with extensive technology (cameras, signage etc.) to enable ‘all lanes running’ operation.

Highways England A47 – Project Manager

Taylor Woodrow is providing buildability and cost advice to Highways England to support the development of options for their proposed works for the £300m A47 Corridor Improvement Programme in East Anglia.

• Complete and generate the Planning Package, in close coordination with executing parties and Project Management Team
• Provides overall management of division-related planning issues

• Ensure the integrated project schedule, leading with guidelines to the contractors in creation of CL.14.1 project baseline schedule and its subsequent maintenance.
• Review and issue compliance report, controlling and monitoring CL.14.1 program of works submitted by Contractors and assist in meeting project deadlines and targets.
• Monitor physical progress against key deliverables and track trends on schedule overrun.

Review and validation of $400M Structural Steel Claim by Contractor on Bayonne Bridge. Principally Schedule Analysis for cause of delay and time impacts as well as Entitlement aand responsibility for design impacts.

I performed delay and quantum analyses and was a subject matter expert in the assessment (using Primavera P6), quantification and reporting upon contractual claims (including delay, acceleration and disruption) and major variations arising on the project including bulk earthworks, civil works, underground services, pavement and finishing works on the Bruce Highway Upgrade Project.
