I worked as Lead Engineer - Project Controls, and my role involved setting up Planning & Costing systems, and to plan, monitor & control the activities of all engineering disciplines and procurement for mining projects such as Lonmin Platinum, United Manganese of Kalahari, Central Rand Gold and GeoCam Cobalt-Nickel-Manganese project.



I was also deputed to site for Moma project, Mozambique and Hindustan Zinc Project, India to monitor & control the engineering execution work at site.

I am working as Senior Project Controls Engineer, and my role involves setting up Planning systems using Primavera (P6), and to plan, monitor & control the activities of all engineering disciplines and procurement for mining projects such as GeoCam Cobalt-Nickel-Manganese project, Crocker Well project and Tsagaan Suvarga Copper Molybdenum project.



Responsibilities also include progress evaluation, forecasting, and project analysis.

Current Role

Relocated from Perth, WA to Brisbane, Qld by Rio Tinto Alcan, my role as Project Controls Manager Systems and Support Services was to focus on key areas of development, most notably the re-structuring of Primavera P6.1 to bring into line with planning best practises, sole administrator providing mentoring and guidance to a team of planners.

Ensure and verify timely, adequate and accurate Project Cost- and Progress Management Information and analyze variances. Administer and Manage the EPCM contract which is owned by Project Manager. Provide timely trend information, trend verification and change control management. Participate in the project cost- and schedule risk assessment. Provide variance analysis of critical plans and mitigation proposals. Conduct periodic audits / analysis on EPCM and Works contractor’s cost performance, progress and Value of Work Done.
