Tips on using this forum..

(1) Explain your problem, don't simply post "This isn't working". What were you doing when you faced the problem? What have you tried to resolve - did you look for a solution using "Search" ? Has it happened just once or several times?

(2) It's also good to get feedback when a solution is found, return to the original post to explain how it was resolved so that more people can also use the results.

thanx R and Arnold

so there is no automatic grouping right?

in P3, let’s say we have 10 activities

A010 A020 A030 B010 B020 B030 C010 C020 C030 C040

in activity code under activity id tab

i will create GROUP under codes, A0 as GROUP 1, B0 as GROUP 2, C0 as GROUP 3 under values

then organize by GROUP

automatically it will organize right?

so for P6, the assignment is like Activity Code only right?

J. Eman U,

Group by Activity Code, then Sort by Activity ID.

J. Eman U,

1. Select all activities with the same Activity Code

2. Right click on these activities > click Assign > click Activity Codes > select Activity Code from "Assign Activity Code" window > then click Assign button.

3. Repeat 1 & 2 for other activities.

Then follow Arnold’s post for grouping and sorting.

Cheers,

Hi Eman,

First of all, you need to assign the activity codes to all activities by selecting those activities to their coresponding activity codes using the CTRL or SHIFT and select the Activity Codes Command Bar Button located at the right corner of your screen.

Or you can show the Activity Codes ID on your column and use the "Fill Down" in Edit Menu.

If done, go to Group & Sort.

Hope this helps.

Regards,

Arnold
