(1) Explain your problem, don't simply post "This isn't working". What were you doing when you faced the problem? What have you tried to resolve - did you look for a solution using "Search" ? Has it happened just once or several times?

(2) It's also good to get feedback when a solution is found, return to the original post to explain how it was resolved so that more people can also use the results.

For the past few years, My company have scanned the world to find the alternative to Primavera P3e, and have seeked suggestions, advises of what features planners like yourself wants.

Hey Guys,

Anyone to quench my P6 problem in migration process?You see 'verytime i import my colleague .XER backup files coming from  project sites to our server gives me wrong datas as it shows wrong total of activities and earned value results aren't correct as far as the original EV reports is concernedi.e. schedule%complete & performance complete.etc.Kindly do the needful reasons,suggestions  & comments.

Dear all,
I installed danglion in my vista home premium.
While trying to run the software,its showing an error message"Dang lion stopped working,close the application".

Please help me on this.

Thank you for your reply. It sounds much better to speak/write to a person. I just had a glance at your web site - which wasn’t shown when I "googled". Your company seems to be a start-up. So good luck!
Is my impression correct, that you are primarily offering add-ons to Primavera (P6, P3)?
Hopefully in the next future I’ll have some time to download your manual and your tool - on private pc.

You never gave a personal name just the name of a "corporation" without a homepage or any other entry within the web - apart from your shares in PP. The download would be taken from a public file-server.
If your activity is serious I wish good luck to you.
But I won’t download your software. I have some responsibility against my employer - in addition, it’s forbidden - and for my private PC I don’t like it will be smashed as well. Who would take responsibility for program errors? We all know that a new software without bugs doesn’t exist. Not existing "Dang Corporation" without any person behind would take responsibility? Too risky!
In addition: Style for advertisement is different for different countries, but for me planners’ dream would be a drink, a sweet, chips, a restaurant maybe a car, but never a serious software for business.
If it’s serious explain it seriously. Then good luck!
My private opinion of course.

Yes, we got that covered,
but to add to that, we are building an IMPORTER tool that uses a more generic format, which is EXCEL.

so not only can u import XER, but MS PROJECT,
and EXCEL data.

keep those suggestion coming,
we are building it atm,

more featuers is coming along,

have u guys successful got it running yet?


PS: our main design goal is not for the planners to use P3e and also Dang Lion, our design goal is so that the planners only need to use 1 tool that have everything.

Dang,

P6 was around for so long now, haven’t you anticipated the inclusion of importing xer files to your software? This is very basic tool if you want collaboration with P6.

Come on guys, I thought every point has been covered by Dang Corp. to alleviate planners from P6 pitfalls?

yes of course,

As most of the companies are using P6 at the moment, it will be of utmost importance for any budding software company to have this feature.

[Just going off-track and I know u can help me out from this situation:

I m trying to import p3 file into p6 and it gives error saying userfil.p3 file missing

Can i solve this problem using P3fix?? and from where I can download p3fix utility (I dont have p3 cd with me).

Go and look at my PDF of the charts capabilties in Dang Lion 2009.
Hope it give you some incentive to learn this new tool.

instead of copying and pasting data from P3e (which costs like a ferrari)
and then using the gold old excel to generate charts)

I know what planners go thru, they do this day in and day out, with p3e and excel.

Dang Corp aim is to change this routine and make planners a more strategic role, not data entry or data transfer role. to and from Excel.

I think we have to give it a try in respect to their effort in developing the software for the sake of planners. Anyway it’s free.

Dang,
Provide a brief overview here of your software and why planners should use it.
1) What do you think are the pitfalls of P3e and how you can fix it by using your software.

2) What’s your plan in the next coming months (i.e., collaboration with Primavera, presentation with users, etc.). This will show how really serious Dang is in introducing it to the market.

Wil u plz upload it on soem other website.

As the said website comes under personal storage category (Set by IT guys), I cant downlaod the files.

What I am looking from ur software is graphical reports. P6 has done worse, but they are going to add it in P7.

V all have dodge charger (but paying equiv. to ferrari) in our garage and what v r dreaming of is ferrari.

Plz park it on some other strret, so that v can have a test drive.

We took the approach in similar to making a sport car.

every driver, even tho might have some variable in sports car,

all come down to a few things.

1. Speed
2. Beautiful look
3. Good to drive etc...
