Tips on using this forum..

(1) Explain your problem, don't simply post "This isn't working". What were you doing when you faced the problem? What have you tried to resolve - did you look for a solution using "Search" ? Has it happened just once or several times?

(2) It's also good to get feedback when a solution is found, return to the original post to explain how it was resolved so that more people can also use the results.

I’m currently working with 4 programmes, each using different DD.
We use the multiple float path function to assist in creating critical paths.
For the last 4 hours, everytime I have tried to schedule the projects the system has hung at 95%. I can schedule each individually or in pairs without a problem, I could schedule some combinations of 3 projects but not all, very frustrating!

The POINT solution is to add an ’end activity’ to schedule the float paths to, not good with multiple units.

Instead I have found that removing the calculate float paths option and scheduling, then scheduling with a small amount of float paths before returning to the required amount of float paths has solved the problem.

I’ve no idea why this worked but if ever you find yourself inthe same boat...

Maybe your client/server computer doesn’t have enough memory to calculate all the float paths across 4 large projects?
