Planning Engineer

Responsible to the Project Manager for the Level 1 Strategy and Construction and Installation Programmes, and Level 2 and 3 Integrated Construction Programmes for the Design, Construction, M&E Installation and Commissioning & Hand over phases of a “new build” uranium enrichment plant project in Europe. 3 years experience working on Urenco’s Dutch project and latterly based on the Capenhurst project near Chester.

Initial Strategy Programmes produced to assist in the budgeting process. Following on from that a detailed Integrated Construction Programme (to levels 2, 3 & 4) incorporating the Civil, Erection, Mechanical and Electrical Installation and Commissioning & Hand over Scope of Work. This is then issued to site as the Control and Co-ordination Programme. Once on site the programmes are maintained and updated as part of the site reporting system.

Visits to external contractors to discuss budgets, timescales and technical issues alongside the Project Engineer both in the start-up phase of the project and also during the execution of the programme also carried out, as well as regular meetings with various project and construction teams on site to monitor progress.

Also involved in the master resourcing of the project design team staff and their allocation to ETUKs other projects as well as resourcing across the company’s other functional departments.
